About the Artwork: Mindset
Where I created this piece: Portico di San Luca, Bologna, Italy.
What I love about this piece: The visual symbolism is both deeply tied to the importance of place in this artwork, and then transcends it far beyond the bounds of the portico’s protective shades: I created this piece along the longest series of covered archways in the world, the 4 km-long (2.5 mile) Portico di San Luca: a deceptive mental and physical challenge and meditative journey up a mountainside to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca.
Yet the imagery of the repetitive porticos challenges us with something that transcends beyond San Luca. Every step is connected on this pathway: movement and action with stunning, quiet beauty and purpose.

My limited-edition, numbered fine art prints are released as small collections, reflecting my recent artistic projects and focus. Each piece connects to themes woven throughout both the collection it is a part of, as well as themes found across my work.
✴︎ Each print includes a small white border around the artwork. Frames and mats are for display purposes and are not included.
Each limited-edition fine art print is serially numbered, titled, and hand-signed by the artist, Lauren Galloway Gibson.
