A seagull soars across the silent Canale Grande, as gondolas and a lone lamppost sit at attention in the very center of of Venezia.
Where I created this piece: Bacino di San Marco on the Grand Canal, Piazza San Marco, Venice Italy.
What I love about this piece: The rose-colored glass and the deep green-painted iron of the single, ornate lamppost in the foreground balances the coral-colored brick of the Abbazia di San Giorgio Maggiore across the Grand Canal. And, I'd like to give a thank you to the seagull who lazily soared across the canal at the perfect moment.
